Charles Clinton Stahlman from The Clarion Democrat - October 15, 1914 -

Charles Clinton Stahlman. Of Byromton, was born Oct. 22, 1861, and died Oct. 5, 1914, at the Kane Summit hospital. He was thrown off his wagon and his injuries proved fatal. He is survived by his wife and ten children; namely: Mrs Frank Mapes of Harding, W.Va.; Mrs. Frank Matson, Charles and Milton, of Oil City, Pa.; Mrs Maude Hulings, Byromton, Pa.; Orpha, Almeda, Glade, Roy and Don at home, and two stepchildren, Mrs. J.C. Noblit, of Clarion and Mr. Edd Dean of Marienville, Pa. Also two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. David Frost of Pigeon; Mrs. James Myers; Fisher; John, of the Warren State hospital, and Henry, of West Virginia and fourteen grandchildren.

He was a kind and loving husband and father and was a highly respected citizen, a good neighbor and had many friends. He was liked by all who knew him. The friends and neighbors gathered at the house on Tuesday evening and held a short prayer and song service and on Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock the body was taken to the first Presbyterian church of Fisher for burial where a large congregation of relatives and friends gathered at the Presbyterian church Rev. Webster, his pastor, preached a very touching sermon. His remains were laid to rest in the cemetery beside his parents to wait the resurrection morn.
